Patrick has a baaaad habit...and I am his enabler. (Can you guess what it is?) I, myself, have struggled with just such an addiction (although my drug of choice was Pepsi) and I have tried and tried to help him kick the habit. To his credit, he has been doing much better lately. I justify my behavior by saying this...if I don't buy it (for a very good price, of course) then he will just stop at the gas station and get himself a drink anyway (only it will be a really big drink and it will cost more). I have managed to undo my addiction and now having a Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi a couple times a week is about it for me (depends what I'm eating--things like hamburgers and pizza are no good with water)...and I don't NEED it anymore. So...if he's going to drink it anyway, and I am going to enable him...at least I got a SCREAMING good deal on it today...
Walgreens has a great deal on Pepsi products (you will see my token box of Diet Pepsi and a box of Sierra Mist in there for the kids) so I got 5 12-pack boxes and 5 2-liter bottles for $20. I got a Register Reward for $10 to use on a future purchase, and I have a rebate for $7.50 when you buy $20 worth of Pepsi products. So, after the register reward and the rebate, I paid $2.50 for all of it. Wanna bet all that Mountain Dew will be long gone long before I finish my 12 cans of Diet Pepsi? I guarantee it will be...
Um, question for ya...did you have coupons or just "in store" stuff? Is the sale over already?
ReplyDeleteKim, there were no coupons and the sale is going again this week, although they have changed it a bit. It's still a great deal though!
