WHAT I AM THANKFUL FOR

The list of things I am thankful for is so long I can't possibly list everything.  Of course I am thankful for my family, especially for a husband that works hard (at a job he sometimes doesn't like as much as he used to) both at work and at home taking care of all of us, especially Braden; for kids that are healthy, (mostly) happy, and downright GOOD PEOPLE; for a great place to live, including a great house, great neighborhood, good schools and good friends.
Mostly, this year, I am thankful that we are better off now than we were a year ago.  I'm not sure how much we are "actually" better off, or if it's mostly just in my own mind, but either way, it feels real to me.  A little over a year ago was when I really started to worry about things--the economy was terrible, we were (and still are, unfortunately, in debt), we were unprepared if things went bad for us, and I sat here staring at four children that were counting on us to take care of them.  The weight of it all was overwhelming.  This was when I had my "eye opening" moment, and realized that there were things I had been told to do by a prophet that I firmly believe communicates with the Lord, and I was ignoring him, and that needed to change.  So that's when I realized it was time to get out of debt, put together my food storage, and otherwise do my part to prepare in case things went bad. And I needed to get myself back to the temple.  It has been a lot of work, and I'm not done, but I am making progress.
Then I went to Stake Conference and heard President Packer talk about tough times and how there is no reason to be afraid if we are doing what we have been told to do.  It changed everything.
So, now I can firmly say that I am thankful that I (finally) listened to the prophet and started following his counsel.  Like I said, I don't know how much things REALLY changed, and how much changed in my mind, but either way, life has been better
