BY THE NUMBERS
6 people in our family (including my sister's family) that got Swine Flu at Disneyland (or shortly thereafter) Luckily it happened for most on the last day...and we still had tons of fun!
291 Boxes of cold cereal I have bought
9 times they tried taking Braden's school picture before finally giving up and realizing he just isn't meant to pose
8 songs Colby played with the Jazz Band at the Spring Concert (before giving up his trumpet forever...boo hoo) I was so proud of him and enjoyed this concert so much!
13 Boxes of mud (so far) that we have bought for mudding the basement (and I've got one coat to go...)
83 Degrees for our annual day at Bear Lake... PERFECT!
20 Minutes it takes for Braden to get to his new school...vs. the hour it took him to get to the old one!
22 Trips walking back and forth from the Candy Cane Inn to Disneyland...which also means 22 tired feet...
48 Number of times Dylan practiced "Taking my walrus for a walk" on his trombone...and I loved every one of them...especially when he didn't know we could hear him through two open windows.
1728 Diapers delivered to our house...and yes...we've changed almost every one of those...
484 dollars we made at our first garage sale in 10 years...YAY
7 Shelves we've filled with food storage
2 Goals Savannah scored in soccer (not shabby for being half the size of the other girls and only playing in four games)
100 American history questions answered by Savannah to earn her Young American award
17 pounds Braden has gained this year. YIKES!
4 Years that Dylan has been SEIZURE FREE!!! Christmas Eve was his last day to take his meds and now he's officially done! What a Christmas gift!
1660 square feet of basement that we have slaved over for the last 5 years...it's almost done and we can then proudly proclaim that we did it all with our own hands (except the electrical and plumbing--electricity is way too scary to mess with when you don't know what you're doing)
1305 photos taken this year
6 months and 40 hours of driving that Colby needs to do before he's a licensed driver. He could have started last summer but has no interest in driving/learning to drive/getting his license. Am I the LUCKIEST mother in the world or what?! Actually, Colby will be a great and careful driver--that's just the kind of kid he is.
3 months until my baby turns 12 and leaves Primary for Young Women's...*sniff sniff*
2 hysterical cats that teach us every day how smart animals really are...maybe they are ready to learn to use the toilet?
135 days...the longest amount of time my family has waited for clothes from the ironing pile... (I'm so ashamed but vow to do better in the coming year)
Whatever the numbers, it all adds up to a GREAT YEAR! Here's looking to 2010 to be even better!
