Simplify, simplify,simplify....
This is the year of scaling back for us...in an effort to simplify the Christmas season and not spend so much money. That means no family letters (yeah, right...like I ever did them before) or Christmas cards (and YES...I do send Christmas cards, even if it's only sporadically). I am also not doing neighbor gifts this year, so I hope all my friends and neighbors understand that I still love them and I'm thinking about them even if I'm not bringing gifts. Christmas has become so hectic and I spend the entire month being tired...then I can't wait for it to actually be over by the time it gets here and I'm practically taking the tree down while everyone is still opening their presents. I don't want Christmas to be that way anymore...Not to mention, the last several years I have run, run, run until I've made myself sick for Christmas Day. It's time to spend a little more time remembering Christ and feeling some peace. Merry Christmas!

Brilliant!! I think I am going to follow suit. I have spent every year baking, making, taking until I am dropping. This year I am simplifying. I am taking something small to two very important people who have been the source of miracles this year and after reading what you wrote..well I am just going to enjoy the rest of the week with nothing else!!! Kris's birthday is Christmas eve and we are having friends and missionaries on Christmas...so that is it...I am done!! :) Thanks for all your encouragement! It means so much! Merry Christmas and relax and enjoy!
