A NEW WAY TO SAVE!

Last year I stumbled across a website that said they would give my $5 just for signing up and another $10 cash back if I ordered a Happenings Book.  Needless to say, I was skeptical, but I went ahead and did it anyway.  Well, the Happenings Book arrived (a FABULOUS purchase, by the way--I saved $40 just in Smith's coupons alone...) and later, so did a $15 check!  It was awesome!  So that was my first introduction to cash back shopping sites...and now I'm a fan!
The site that started it all is Cashbaq. My newest discover is ebates.  If you are a big online shopper like me, the savings can really add up fast--especially at Christmas time when I hope to get as much online as possible.  Even if you're NOT a big online shopper, a little here and there can add up over time.  All you have to do is visit the ebates or Cashbaq site first, then link to the store you want to shop at, and shop like you normally would.  They keeps track of it all for you and send you a check.  The percentage you get depends on the store, plus they offer coupon codes for more savings. Both sites have different cashback bonuses and different coupons, and they change from time to time, so it pays to watch both. There are over 1200 stores, so you can find almost any store you're looking for. Here are a couple of deals I found that I will definitely be using:
  • Barnes & Noble--get 8% cashback and they have a coupon code for 15% off one item.
  • Shutterfly--10% cashback and a coupon code for $10 off a $50 order plus free shipping(can we say photobooks for Christmas?)
  • Kohl's--4% cashback and more coupon codes than I can list.
  • Best Buy--2% cashback and TONS of coupon codes.
  • Walmart--2% cashback (haven't checked for codes yet)
  • JC Penney--3% cashback and several coupon codes, including one for free shipping.
  • Target--5% cashback plus coupons.
  • Happenings Book--$6 cashback and a coupon code for $10 off and free shipping (already ordered!)
There are all sorts of good deals to be had. It is definitely worth checking out and you get $5 just for signing up ($5 on each site for a grand total of $10) and not even purchasing anything!  Go to ebates from here  or click the Cashbaq badge I just added to my blog and I might even get a little bonus if you sign up. :)
